Strategy &amp; Concept Development, Film Direction, Photography Direction, Billboard Design Outside of Portland, Oregon, sits a little town on the way to Mount Hood perfectly named Boring. But don’t judge a book by it’s cover, or a town by it’s name, Boring is a thriving town that is anything but Boring. We set out to Unboring Boring, working with three local businesses to improve their visual design using Picsart, to prove to small businesses, creators and all “non-designers” that they too can easily unboring their identity using Picsart. The campaign launched with four campaign videos on all streaming services and 70 billboards, bus wraps and bus stations. Visit award winning site︎︎︎ The Nutz-n-Boltz Theater CompanyOwned and operated by the Lazenby family, this nonprofit theater company has held performances for their community for over a decade. With their time consumed by directing performances and classes, their branding lacked the quality of their plays. Together, we created new customizable templates for playbills, posters and social media they can use to promote upcoming shows. Boring Bean Coffee Roasters Boring Bean has been the go-to stop for sourced, roasted and brewed coffee in Boring. Their packaging, however, was a little watered-down. We created fresh templates that can be customized to each individual roast. North American Bigfoot Center Owned and operated by Cliff Barackman, the Bigfoot Center is one of the businesses that put Boring on the map. It has appeared on television shows such as Finding Bigfoot, and is famous in the industry. It provides tourists and enthusiasts many reasons to visit the center like examining footprints, however, their social media lacked a visual style to draw those visitors in. With the Bigfoot Center we created templates for their social media to engage with their audience and sell merch from their online store. OOH Starting in Portland, we rounded out the campaign with 70 billboards, bus wraps and bus stations. Our goal was to never see the same billboard more than once, and to celebrate the three businesses of Boring, Oregon. Strategy &amp; Development Kindred is a fresh startup on a mission to impact the way C-level executives think about pressing issues in our modern world. Kindred set out to host a three-day convention with global speakers on topics ranging from gun violence to the climate crisis. I created a visual design system inspired by neuroscience and natural patterns of the brain under a microscope. The event was set to launch September 2020, which if you know your history, was right in the middle of the pandemic. Roles︎︎︎ Creative Direction &amp; Layout Design, Content &amp; Interview Development, Copywriting, Event Production GRØSS is a global art magazine that contrasts energetic youth culture with the white glove art industry, featuring photo shoots and in-depth interviews with each artist. We focused on creating a coffee table book in the shape of a magazine — zero corners were cut creating these magazines, down to choosing the perfect paper stock (anti-scuff might I add). We experimented with expressive typography, bold color, wild grids and texture. Inside, the magazine has removable stickers, created by the artists, which when peeled away reveal hidden content. The magazine can be found in more than 30 countries in small mom and pop stores. Most were as simple as, “FEATURE ME, PLZ!” There was a clear lack of community and gallery representation for young, talented aspiring artists. This was a great space for us to fill, so, a few beers in the backyard and we decided to launch our second magazine: Relish — a localized magazine and gallery experience, one city at a time in an attempt to reestablish local artist communities. We filled a magazine with artists’ work and bios, gathered local sponsors, printed 2,000 copies of the magazine, and rented a space for the launch party where we featured all selected artists. Our first launch was in San Francisco — the gallery opening at The American Bookbinders Museum drew a huge crowd, requiring security and a 30-minute line based on capacity.
